Hello from Sunny Montana

We will be leaving Helena in about two weeks for a 4-5 month trip in our new-to-us Coachmen Mirada. We'll be heading first to St. George, UT and then on into NV. The trip will continue through TX and along the Gulf Coast. By spring we hope to come up the Eastern Seaboard and then on home in May or so. Good to be here.

Ralph and Lynn, If you are coming by the Eastern Seaboard come and see us in Myrtle Beach!

Have a nice trip.

Hi Red Wolf 2,
Welcome to iRV2. I'll be in Montana this summer. If you will be making a Florida stop or two during your trip, let me know. There is a lot to see and do, in Florida. There are some hidden gems right off of I10.

Thanks all for the generous welcome and invitations. Getting excited, but see a light snow tonight. Can't wait to see it in the rear view mirror.

Cheers!

Sounds like an awesome trip. We're doing almost the exact same trip in reverse next year starting from FL, going along southern coast ending up in Montana! If we cross paths let us know! Nina

Hi All,
We've been on the road for over ten days now, through rain, snow, sleet, but no hail...yet. Now in Camp Verde, AZ, for a week, looking for a cheaper park to spend some time further south as we head for Sierra Vista to visit in-laws. Any ideas out there? Thanks in advance!

While in Camp Verde check out the Zane Grey RV park, one of my favorites. Are you members of Passport America? Several parks in Mesa are PPA.

Nearly a month on the road...

We're now at Amado, AZ and having the time of our lives. Weather is great and just visited some friends from Helena yesterday. Our next destination is Patagonia Lake State Park, near the Mexican border. It's ALL good.

Hey Red Wolf 2, not quite sure exactly where that is but have you been or are going through Lake Havasu area? You probably don't even want to imagine the weather here in BC Canada today. Are you mostly staying in RV Parks or ????? Did you make it to the Grand Canyon? We may be planning a trip to the Lake Havasu area in the fall so hopefully you have some info for us about that area. Have a great trip. Cheers, keep the campfires burning.

A little more info...

Adamo is south of Tucson. We're on our way to Patagonia State Park, just north of Nogales, MX. We've been staying in State/Regional parks if we can. This place, Anza Trails RV park is private and okay, but nothing like the quiet privacy of the open desert. We'll work our way to Sierra Vista, AZ in the next week to visit our son's in-laws and on the Chiricahua National Monument, to camp and then on to NM. I'm aware of the cold weather, although it's been rather temperate in Helena. I'm amazed at how we're adjusting to the warm days here. Shorts and sandals Rock!

Welcome Red Wolf 2,
Sounds like a plan. We have some dynamite campgrounds here on the Gulf Coast. Drop me a PM when your getting close and I'll point some of them out. First cup is on me.

Lynn and I are spending our last few days in Arizona at the Sagebrush RV Park in Willcox. We'll check out the Sulphur Springs Valley in search of birds, especially Sandhill Cranes and then visit the Chiricahua National Monument, where Cochise lived. The weather remains great and we're enjoying every minute of our time here. Next week: New Mexico. North of Las Cruces to Radium Springs for a few days to explore and check our the bird sights. It's a great life, for sure. Be back later with an update.
