Hello from Sunnyvale, California
Well, I've been lurking around for a little while now pulling wisdom from these forums. Time for our introduction.
We just bought (about 6 months ago) a 1993 Fleetwood Jamboree (Ford E350 Chassis) 22'. It took us a while to find what we needed. Our primary need was something that fits into our driveway (23' 0"). Plus there was a certain configuration that we wanted. What we found was perfect for our family (Me, Wife and 6-year-old daughter).
So far we've had to replace the refrigerator (we knew about this when we bought it), seal the heck out of it, get the engine tuned up, replace the starter and coil, and get new front tires. Once we get the transmission fixed (an odd sound when shifting into 3rd) we'll be pretty much done catching up on the maintenance. Other than those things, the last owner took pretty good care of the thing.
We're primarily planning on using it when we go to visit family in the Auburn area. But, we've done a few weekend trips so far too. We went to Pismo Beach for a long weekend. We've gone camping in Little Basin (a local camp ground in a beautiful redwood foreat). We've also taken it to Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay on day trips. It's nice to have amenities with us on even short trips.
Anyhow, thanks for providing such a great resource. I've found the answers to a lot of questions right here.
Cyrus
