Hello from Taylorsville

Hello all!!

New to the site and camper world although I grew up on a farm and am very outdoorsy I have ALOT to learn about pulling a camper and campers in general. Just purchased a used 2007 22' Starcraft Hybrid from a private seller who never got to use it. I have a few questions I was hoping to get help with. He was the second owner and it set for the last year. After going over some things I purchased it, but he was not very helpful on answering a few questions and so I have recently found a problem. I hooked the camper up to my house electric and everything worked great for a little while, but then I noticed the lights on the microwave stopped working and then noticed nothing was working. I checked the breakers and they were fine as was the electric from the house. After shutting breakers off, unplugging and then plugging the electric back in I turned the breakers back on and everything works fine, again for awhile and then for some reason everything goes out again. Can anyone give me an idea as to what might be causing this?

The last question is I wanted to check the heater out which runs off gas. I switched the thermistat to high, but am not sure where the heat comes out, unless it's up on top the ceiling where the a/c controls are, but we waited for awhile and couldn't feel a difference from any vent nor could I hear anything from anywhere. Was wondering if it came out forced through the vent under the fridge and I just couldn't feel it OR do I have to turn the fan on where the a/c controls are and wait for it to get warm? All the other gas operated appliances work, like the burners and the fridge that runs off gas gets cold real quick. There was no manuals that I can find with the camper, but it honestly looks hardly used inside and out. ANY help would be appreciated as I'm sure it's probably small stuff I do not know about. I am very handy and work on most all of my vehicles and home renovations, but the camper thing is way new to me. Thanks everyone in advance for the help!

Hi, welcome to the forum. Your questions are by me since I know little about travel trailers. Others should be able to help you.

Hello Ohio !

I'd either repost these questions in the TT FORUM Expandables, Hybrids, & Lightweights Discussion - iRV2 Forums or ask a Moddie to do it for me. Janet has been very helpfull to me. iRV2 Forums - View Profile: Janet H just click the word Messages under her picture and then send a PM with your request. You'll get a lot more answers over there. I do know that the furnace is stand alone and doesn't interface with the overhead ducts at all. When you turn it on you should be able tohear the burner start and shortly after hear the fan kick in. Look for a register or round louvered duct at or near floor level for the air delivery. While it's running go outside and feel the exhaust from the round hole (about 2" in diameter) in the cover it should be HOT, don't touch it just feel the air. If it's not hot the fan may not come on and that leads to LP Gas delivery problems which again the other Forum will be very helpfull solving.

I looked it up on line and what a really nice hybrid. Well done. It's not unusual for a few little things to go south after sitting and not being used for a period of time. So the only answer is to use it often and ENJOY.
