Welcome aboard. You will find great advice here to keep your RV humming. I'd be curious to learn more about the RV experience in the UK. Are there decent campgrounds? Do you boondock much? Do some of the narrow roads impact your ability to get around?

hi, theres plenty of campsites here that will take rvs depending on length. 30 footers like mine seem to squeeze in most places any bigger are your options shrink a bit. the roads are pretty much the same anywhere until you take a wrong turn that is.
boondocking (wild camping) is quite hard to do in England but we only have to travel a bit north into Scotland to do that.

I hope that the fact that we are separated by a common language, doesn't interfere with you getting answers to your questions here in the forums.
Never be afraid to ask , what a North American term refers too, and we'll do the same with any posts from your side of the pond.

Welcome from an ex-pat, originally from Leyland (Lancs.), now living in Anacortes, Washington State. I'm also ex-Boeing, retired early in 1998.

Dave- I had a diesel Trek by Safari on the same chassis platform. Its easy to work on, especially once you have the factory manuals. I'm guessing yours is a Workhorse though the differences between Workhorse & Chevrolet in the earliest years of the WH P30 chassis series were negligible (WH bought the chassis platform product line from Chevy & started WH production in 1996). You can find chassis repair manuals on eBay (example1, example2, etc.). I believe any chassis manual set will work from 1995 thru about 1999 (motorhomes are usually model-yeared 1 year later than the chassis platform, so for a 1997 I'd guess you are running on a 1996 chassis).
Welcome aboard. If you have any diesel chassis questions, please feel free to PM me (private message- click on somebody's handle & select Send Private Message), so I see them; I practically rebuilt the fuel delivery on mine and had to learn way more about it than I ever envisioned.
