Hello From Tucson!

I just registered today and have never been on a forum before. I don't have much to share yet except how much I am liking Tucson. It is a bit hot this time of year but is cooling down slowly now. My husband and I have a Ranger and love to go off road and really see the desert. I hope to see the wildflowers soon with the Monsoon here. I look forward to hearing from you and joining in as well as helping when I can! Jamie

Welcome to the forum. Glad you joined.
It may be hot, but it's dry heat... right! (It does make a little difference, but not that much when you get around 100 degrees.)

Tucson is one of my favorite places to go... mostly because of the warm weather and sunshine. Where we come from, we get about as many sunny days as Tucson gets rainy... it's true... We're just below Erie PA, and it's one of the cloudiest regions in the US.

My dad used to take us out to Tucson every year for a couple weeks when I was little (35 years ago) in our 1976 26' Allegro. Those were the days... My favorite places out there are the Desert Museum and taking the drive up Mt. Lemmon. We often would just go driving out through the Saguaro National Monument on the west side of the city to watch the sunset, then head back up over gates pass to go to dinner. Trail Dust town and Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse were also some of our favorite stomping grounds. Memories!!

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay in Tucson!

-cheers

Go see the Pima Air and Space Museum. It is fantastic, and while there take the tour of the Davis Monthon AFB Boneyard.
