Hello to all

I just joined iRV2 and would like to say hi to all the current members. I have just one questions to start off. I currently have a 2003 HR Scepter and am planning on trading for a 2010 Dutch Star 4010. Does anyone have any thumbs down on the Dutch Star?
Thanks for any suggestions prior to this purchase.

ExtenderFE;

We are glad you found us. Sorry I can't answer your question but I can't remember any negative posts on Dutch Star. If you don't get the answer you are looking for you may want to repost your question on a different forum perhaps General Discussion. Keep us posted on your decision.

Welcome to IRV2! I visit a number of forums on a regular basis, but this is by far the most consistantly friendly and helpful.

We just purchased a new rig, and the Dutch Star was on our 'short list'. They make a great coach at their price point, and seem to have a very loyal following.

Is there anything else you've been considering?

Welcome ExtenderFE,
From what I've heard and seen, the Dutch Star is a very nice coach. You should be pleased with it. If not, just drop it off at my place.

Thanks for the responses to my question. So far I am pleased with the responses and with the coach. I guess I will bite the bullet and press on with the purchase.

I'm totally happy with my coach and the support from Newmar, spartan, and other suppliers after 5+ years.

We were also looking at the Tiffin Phaeton. I'm really trying to find a coach with the fewest number of complaints and one with a good floor plan for my needs. So far the Dutch Star seems to be at the top of the list.
Thanks for responding.

As you probably know, any new coach will have issues the first year. You just hope the issues are minor. We had our share right up until the warranty expired. But, since then, not many problems at all.

I highly recommend going to the factory right before your warranty expires with your list of things to fix or new things to add. The guys at Newmar are exceptional and will even find a few things to fix that you didn't know about.

Good luck on your purchase.
