Hello - we are beginners
Hello everyone
My husband & I are in search of our first RV. Dennis is already retired and I have 1.5 yrs to go. We feel buying used the first time is important because we are really not sure if this is a full time way of life or just become snowbirds. Does anyone do this full time and have given up your permanent residence. We are thinking of renting out our home for a year or longer
We do know for sure we are both excited to begin this new journey. We are open to any suggestions as newbies. We have shopped around and gone to many RV shows to get ideas. We have learned one thing for sure, the people we have met and who already are Rv'rs are some of the friendliest folks.
Thanks
Linda

Welcome and glad to meet you!
If you search a little you will see hundreds or more of us that have done just that. We sold the house and almost all the "stuff". We bought whatever RV we chose and moved into it. My DW and I are very happy with the lifestyle, even with some stumbling blocks this year, and would not give it up!

Welcome to the forum. Start RVing by taking smaller trips and working up to doing a season RVing. If you love the life style, rent the house out for a year or longer.
Safe and Happy Travels.

Hi
Welcome to IRV2 forums and you will learn a wealth of information here.
Starting out by buying used is a great idea and holding onto your house for awhile is also a good idea until you are sure you want to go full time.
I would just like to throw something out there and until you get used to it a 31 to 32 footer is a good size to start with. We after 3 other motorhomes have gone to a 35 footer as we stay in it for 3 months in the winter and a washer and dryer is nice to have along with a king size sleep number bed.
Lastly it will give you both a chance to see if you both can live in close quarters .
Good Luck!

Welcome to the Forum and my DW and I fulltime. We sold our S&B home in Nov. 2013 and purchased a used MH in December and have not looked back. So far we love fulltime living and have been taking it slow on the roads. There are many books out there on fulltime living. Best of luck.
Happy RV'ing
