Here we go!
Hello everyone. What a great forum. This is just what my husband, David, and I needed. While we are not new to camping, we are new to the idea of becoming full timers. We owned a Coleman pop-up while the kids were at home and had a wonderful time in it. We sold it when we moved back to FL. The kids are all grown now. Last summer we took our first trip out west to Montana and were bitten by the travel bug. Needless to say, we have not recovered! We are now looking at selling the house and living full time in some type of RV, spending 6 months here in FL and the other six on the road. We have begun the process of educating ourselves on all things RV, including what type and size, camper living, work camping, costs, etc. We thought people would think we were crazy, and some do. Come to find out, this world is full of "crazies", just like us! We have met such wonderful people, like yourselves, who are willing to sit and talk all day long about their experiences and the lessons they have learned. We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to reading your posts. Thank you for sharing!

Welcome to the forum, although I hardly can grant that welcome as we've only been members for a couple of months. We know your sentiment all too well. While I don't see us going full time soon, we are contemplating next year's extended trip. We went from travel trailer to fifth wheel to recently a motorhome. We love the experience. We are a bit backwards, we live in the desert, so we go north in the summer for cooler weather. Have fun with your adventures.

Welcome to the forum. I know what you mean about taking a trip out west and being bitten by the bug. I grew up in New England and have been blown away by the west... and I'm so glad to be able to live a lifestyle where we get to explore the west as long and as in depth as we wish... so much beauty and interesting history!!
Have fun here in the forum and on the road..

when the bug bites it usually holds on tight! We are planning our escape too. Look forward to your posts and contributions to the forum - especially the full timers forum!

Howdy from NYC and SC and welcome to the forums! Being from the East Coast, we too were blown away by the beauty of this country, especially out west. Enjoy your travels and post lots of pics.
