Hey from AZ
Hello everyone!
My name is Jim and I am new to the RV Lifestyle.
I live in Chino Valley AZ. and retired from Ruger Firearms.
I recently purchase an entry level used class A.
It is a gently used 2000 Winnebago Adventurer 32v Workhorse. My wife Beth and I are looking forward to spending time together enjoying ourselves.
I have read through some of the forums here and have already become more knowledgeable and confident with my RV. Thank you!
I look forward to being able to participate and assisting others on this site.
Thanks again
JIM

Hello Jim! Nice to see a new member from my state
I highly recommend you visit Rancho Sedona RV park & Circle Pines KOA in Williams for a couple of nice shakedown trips. If you make a reservation TODAY, you may be able to visit Rancho Sedona in October lol
Nice RV in the Adventurer, you have discerning taste! That's a nice mid-level coach, don't sell it short. Entry-level coaches have no slides, leveling jacks, or an Automatic Transfer Switch(ATS) for example. Look forward to your first trip report!!

Welcome from another AZer Wise choice on the Workhorse chassis
I was driving to your part of the state this morning up the I-17 from Phx to spend some time boondocking on Mingus Mtn. It was a bumper-to-bumper crawl, because of a small grass fire, a car fire, then a jack-knifed semi. So I just turned around at Table Mesa Road and came back home. I should have taken off yesterday instead, but I just couldn't make that happen.
It's hard to predict in these times of the Wuhan virus how the camping sites and traffic will be. All the cg's in the Prescott NF are closed, and Prescott town has some nice cg's, but I prefer to use the dispersed NF sites anyway. Oh well, too many people had the same idea as I today. What's nice about being retired is I can try the trip again in a few days, when it is not a National Holiday.

i just read in the posts above that the prescott national forest is closed. they are closing tonto national forest up here today. there have been lots of rv's though town all week and they are all over the forest. are they planning on telling all the people to get out? wonder how that will be received.
i hope you are able to get out and enjoy the new rv. it's just a crazy time everywhere.

Hi bigchick. I said the campgrounds in the Prescott NF are closed (because of the Wuhan virus pandemic), but the NF itself is still open. So you can still camp there in the dispersed sites. I believe that all of the Tonto NF is closed because of the wildfires.
