Hi all!!!! RVr wannabe here and grateful for this site!
Wife has recently retired and I,ve got one foot out the door and we both dream of owning an rv and cruisin the road. Kids grown and gone, 2 in California and 2 in England, 3 grands. There are so many makes and models to choose from and the prices run the board. Were doing our research and nailing down the features we want and we definitely want to go diesel, 36-40ft. Looking at used but well maintained, so far the selections are many but having never done this before any suggestion on makes or models would be appreciated. Looking at a 95 Newmar 40ftr, 50000 miles, looks good but are there specifics we should be looking for, feel like a fish out of water but ready to take the plunge. Again thanks for the wonderful site and so glad we found you.

Welcome!
I went through that just recently. Too many choices, similar wants. It's like most will state here - the floor plan is probably the biggest key to enjoying what you purchase. That along with choosing a quality coach that is built to last. These forums helped me solidify my decision about what I wound up buying so read a lot, there's a ton of great info here.
For me, I picked up a one-owner 2007 Newmar Kountry Star 3916 and love the heck out of what I got. It's a great couch, great condition, bought it in FL and drove it home to CT (home) and enjoyed the entire ride.
