Hi folks New Member Check-in

Hello from Colorado. I've made a few posts in somec forums but never introduced us on the new member check-in area. So here we go.

We're Marilyn and Roger from Evergreen, Colorado. We've been RVing off and on in motorhomes for about 15 years. Before that we lived aboard our cruising 46 foot sailing ketch.

I am retired US Air Force and we are both retired from Lockheed-Martin Aerospace.

We are both Ham operators, K0YY & KB0LJW, and enjoy keeping up with RVing friends on the Ham HF RV nets.

We've recently upgraded to a newer, larger motorhome with slides and plan to spend more time traveling and visiting family and friends.

We will spend some of the winter in AZ with friends, and plan to make Quartzsite for at least part of the time. We also plan to spend some time in southern Texas visiting friends and exploring a new area for us.

We'll spend some time this summer in the northwest exploring and will stay a while with our son in Bonners Ferry in far northern Idaho. They have room for the RV and full hookups--yea!

We look forward to sharing ideas on this great web forum and meeting fellow RVers in our travels.

Thanks to the folks who own and help run this great service to the RVing community.

Welcome, and say "Hello" to Bonners Ferry for me. In the late '60s I spent a few days there as an investigator for a private company. I remember people dragging down teh main street at 2:30 in the morning, not unusual but they were in reverse. I believe the bars closed at 2:00 AM, so people would buy 5 or 6 drinks and stack them up because they were allowed to finish what they had.
Went to the police station at 3:00AM to ask about somewhere to eat, completely drunk. The police station was closed, the cop "on duty" yelled at me from an apartment above it, told me I was too drunk to do anything but drive back to my motel and sleep it off.

The area is beautiful once you get your eyes working. And they do not like outside investigators. I had to dress way down, dumb way up, and smell half drunk before some of those folks would talk with me but I did get what I needed.

Welcome, and have fun.
