Hi form upstate NY

Hi everyone, what a wonderful resource. This was our first real year RVing. In 2009 my wife (Rini) and I rented a class C motorhome to take my Mom and Aunt to their childhood home near Princeton, WV. My Mom came from a large family and due to a bout with colon cancer 10 years ago has been reluctant to travel and thus hadn't been home to visit her 7 brothers in all that time. So we came up with the idea of the rental motorhome with the needed 60mph toilet. The trip was wonderful in all respects and that being the case we decided to take Mom and my Aunt home to WV every year for as long as they could travel. With that in mind we took the plunge this spring and purchased a 2002 Itasca Suncruiser 32V on a Ford chassis. Again trip was great and we even splurged and did 10 days at Disney World during the 4th of July on that trip. For the remainder of the summer we were able to take some short trips to Maine and the 1000 Islands in NY. (picture attached). Rini and I love the whole camping experience and believe we may have found one of the best pastimes or lifestyle there is to experience.

Welcome to the forum, and the RV "lifestyle". You are right. You have found one of the best pastimes, or lifestyles, there is. May you continue to enjoy it for several more decades. In the meantime, don't hesitate to ask, or contribute, anything. Someone here has 'been there, done that' and will be willing to share the experience, if you ask.

Happy trails...
