Back in December 2014 we purchased a Class A 2003 Winnebago (Australia) Explorer.
It’s built on a Workhorse P32 18,000 lb chassis, RHD of course, and has the 6.5L V8 turbo diesel, with 80,000 km on the clock.
We moved into it full time in May 2015, having finished a bit of remodelling inside. We’ve put another 50,000 km on the clock since then. It would have been more but a bout of ill health followed by the arrival of COVID-19 has made travelling … problematic
We’ve experienced a couple of problems but only one that stopped us dead for a couple of weeks — we bent a couple of push-rods (Thanks, previous owners
) which meant a two-week rest stop in a mechanic’s front yard while he worked the engine over.
Then that bloody ignition switch burnt out unexpectedly, so after chucking in a relay and THEN looking online to see what to do
all’s good.
Having an issue now with the rear leaf spring bushings, which I will be asking about elsewhere.
See ya all around the forums.
