Hi from Colorado Springs

Hi All,

My wife and I joined the ranks of RV owners a week ago Saturday when we purchased our Thor Axis 24.1. We've been thinking about it for years and finally found a vehicle that seems to fit our needs perfectly. My better half is semi-retired, and I plan to be within three years, so we wanted to purchase the RV and have it paid for before the income stream stops!

We lucked into what seems to be a decent deal. Our Axis is used, but had only 3500 miles and one trip on it. The original owners had health issues come up and decided RVing isn't an option any more. It was back on the Camping World lot before the state (Colorado) was able to get the new title to them!

We were wandering the Camping World lot looking for a Via (they don't stock them) when a salesman found us. He had just taken delivery of an Axis on consignment which was very similar, if we wanted to look at it. We did,and once the title finally cleared we bought it.

We never did see a Via, but at $40,000 or more difference we didn't need to! According to the salesman, they can't sell Vias side by side with the Axis for that reason. True? Who knows. I do know the better mileage of the Via diesel would never make up the price difference.

We took a quick shakedown trip over the weekend and loved it. Lots of little things to correct or improve. I worked in the shop at the local Winnebago dealer in college, and some things haven't changed, unfortunately. Nothing major though, and we are very happy with our purchase. We're planning a longer trip for October.

Regards,

Randy

Welcome and enjoy! Colorado is one of our favorite destinations, especially the San Juan Skyway area. My sis lives in the 'Springs and we try to visit there often and stay in the USAF Academy Fam Camp. Love it!!
