Hi from Kansas

Starting to plan our full time RV living adventure and this site has so much great information, I'm getting over loaded. I'm so glad I found this forum to research and gather information, I feel its really going to be the key to making our RV dreams come true.

My husband and I are going to retire in spring of 2019, sell our house and most every thing we own, and hit the road (we could technically do it now but would be scraping by, but we are one bad day at work away from going for it, LOL). He will begin drawn his federal and army reserve retirements then, so we can fund our new way of life. I will have enough years at my federal job and finally have my 20 year letter from the army reserves that I can retire, just cant draw any till I'm 60.

We used to live in a 5th wheel before we got married and loved it. We know then that our retirement years would be in a RV, living where its sunny and 75. So it seams far away but 4 years can go by quit fast and now is the time to start planning so we can put this plan in action.

The first thing we need to figure out is if we want a class A pusher with a enclosed trailer or a toy hauler 5th wheel; Gary is dead set on bring the Harley. So we will be on this site a lot getting info and talking to other RVers for advice.

I know for sure that our army reserve retirement checks and health benefits arw the main reasons we are going to be able to make this RV dream come true.

I need to go look at a Thor Outlaw class A, but they don't have a diesel motor in them. I'm a diesel mechanic so I'm pretty sure what were we get is going to be diesel.

Going to check out the I love my Thor Outlaw section for info, thanks.

For a Diesel - there were several Class A Toy Haulers made on a Freightliner Front Engine Diesel (FRED) Chassis through 2010 including the Gulf Stream Bounty Hunter, Safari Simba and the Outlaw.

Check out the http://www.irv2.com/forums/f258/clas...rs-130973.html thread for more information.

If intent on buying new and having Diesel power then it will be a towable Toy Hauler, unless you like at the Super C Outlaw (F550 cab/chassis): 2015 Outlaw Class C Toy Haulers: Class C Motorhomes by Thor Motor Coach

Best luck
