Hi from Western Australia
We live in our bus permanently and love it. Will eventually get to travel around this Aus... just hope the time to leave is not too far away.

We are considering visiting Australia in two years form now. I would be interesting if there were other iRV2 members or a forum about Australia. Can anyone respond?

Hi,
I am a new member here, we have been permanently on the road in Oz (a common term for Australia) for 8 years.
One forum that you can try is:
ExplorOz - 4WDing, Camping & Caravanning around Australia
It may take you a while to get used to the version of English we use in this country but you should be able to find some help and a diverse spectrum of views there.

Been to "Oz" many times and loved every minute of my time there. Like all places I visited. Sydney Harbor is the best harbor views based on hundreds I have seen, but Melborne in general is neat also and up the coast in Surfers Paridise and Brisbane and all the way to Cairns is wonderful but watch out for snakes. Oz has its fair share of those slithering creatures and some are very nasty,
The west coast is also great, Perth is a pretty city as is the coast down to Fremantle. Never crossed all the way by land but I would love to take an RV trip on Highway 1 that goes around the coast,
Also visited Darwin and down to Hobart. Just wondefull places and great people. Have driven on the left side of the road in many countries and as long as the steering wheel is on the right side the transition is easy.
For those who have not been to the land of OZ, you are really missing a wonderful experience. I never RVed there but I most certainly wish I had.
The same goes for NZ

I loved the 3 months I spent in OZ 20 years ago and have been wanting to go back ever since. You are the 2nd new Aussies I came across in the last 5 minutes on this forum -- crazy!!

Welcome! Our very first RV trip ever was in Western Australia in a rented van. Started in Perth and spent 2 months exploring around. A fabulous trip and totally gave us "the bug" to keep RVing. Hope to go back some day and do a more extended stay.
