Hi, I'm a NewMember
Not sure if this is where I'm supposed to introduce myself but, here goes...
I'm living in a 5th wheel Fleetwood Prowler in South Carolina year round.
I'm new to year-rounding and I took early retirement at 61 years old. I always wanted to live in a campground and a camper and decided to go ahead with the dream.
I'm single, female and have bad knees and a bad back so this is getting interesting for me... I used to love to fix up my own things so, when things have gone wrong in my used camper I've had to rely on the good graces of helpful guys in the campgrounds. Have found a wonderful campground and will be staying year round. I don't have a truck to pull my camper but, this is my second campground I've lived in in the past 3 months. (I've been living full time for the past 3 months).
I'm learning quickly that having a glossy website and a camprground promising "peace and tranquility" doesn't necessarily mean that it's true. Had a very bad experience at the first campground I parked at... but, it won't deter me.
Hope to meet other camper friends... maybe some older women who might be camping alone? Also like to meet men too ... only as friends.
I'm Christian and after 3 months of camping I feel like I'm on an extended vacation...

Welcome to the group. There are people from all over the country reading your posts, and when you ask a question. You will get an answer many times over. hope you find a church to your liking close to your camp ground. I know many camp grounds have services on site. Gosh! Thanks for the well wishes Wire Wrat, historyljc, Bruce C and Towboater! I didn't expect responses so quickly!
I'm so looking forward to talking to others with much more expertise than I and, to just make friends. This is quite a different lifestyle than living in an apartment or a house... For sure.
