Hi, New to forum & soon to RVing(is that a proper term)?

My husband & I just sold our home & plan to be half time RV living next summer. At this point the idea is to spend most of the time in Michigan where our grandkids are. Looking for suggestions on the best way to spend time (cost effectively) between both sides of the state. Spend a month in one place? Does this save over the cost of nightly rentals? Any organizations to join for reduced rates? We will also have our 2 cats with us & would enjoy hearing any tips for living in closer quarters with them (litterbox, etc.) Lots of questions, but will try to space them out so I dont get too annoying. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum and the new adventure.
Usually you will get cheaper rates at RV parks on weekly and more so on monthly rentals. Do join Passport America (1/2 off on many places around the country) and I would also recommend Good Sam for 10% off on their affiliate campgrounds. There are others out there as well.

Thank you for that information. As we are just in the planning stages, it was surprising to us to see the nightly cost to park, making us wonder if RV vs smaller part time home was the right way to go.
