Hi ya'll

When I retired my husband got a 1997 Safari Trek; I did not think I would enjoy being away from home and my garden so I did not really understand why he bought it. After a few trial overnight stays in the local RV campground to get the feel for it we took it up to and over several mountain ranges between Hampton Roads and western PA to see the youngest grandchild turn 21. Coming back we detoured and wandered into the mountains of West Virginia and stayed at Summersville Lake at interstate 19 and state route 39 what a beautiful campground; it's a National Recreation area only $24 a night for 50 amp hookups. Right on the lake. We took 220 off 39 to get down to interstate 64 in Covington Virginia and went by the Homestead Resort and VMI (Virginia Military Institute).

Ad we are planning our next get a way and perhaps meet some of you at the national rally in South Carolina if it is not to late to register.

I wish I had retired a lot sooner!

Welcome aboard! You have been bitten by the RV bug. There is no cure, but the symptoms can be treated by the discovery of all the wonderful things you will experience on the road. Happy Trails....:-}.

Love your description of the treatment for the RV bug , and I'm going to steal it. Sorry no residual checks.

Welcome to iRV2.

I think you'll find a lot of members here who share your sentiment , about retiring earlier.

Safe Travels.

Welcome to the friendliest forum I've found.

Isn't it great to be able to just "go" where ever you want, without the ugly work limits on your time? I love being retired and love going here and there as the muse hits.
