I will do this resume style...

Family: Single mom with 10 yrs old son & 8 yrs old daughter

Background: Born in Jersey City. Parents are Puerto Rican. Fell in love with Houston, Tx in 1981 and moved here in 1982 at 13 yrs old.

Occupation: Real estate agent and started new cake decorating business on the side

Camping experience: 1st time tent camping with daughter's Brownie troop end of Oct and 1st tent camping with kids 3 weekends ago.

PUP experience: Purchasing a 2007 Fleetwood Sea Pine this week and can't wait to go through orientation and bring it home.

I am looking forward to having a lot of fun and creating great memories for me and the kiddies.

The funny thing is that I've always had a pink flamingo fascination and actually bought a yard gourd at last year's Texrenfest. Guess I can bring it camping too.

Any info, advice, support and/or laughter at my expense is appreciated! lol

FunFoodie,

Glad to see you made the trip over to this site. Keep an eye on the South Central section under Clubs, Rallies and Campouts.

Some of the time a few of us in the NW Houston area get together for a dinner locally when we are not camping.

Ken

Hi Funfoodie and welcome to iRV2. You were lucky to have discovered Texas at such a young age... took me 40 years to make my way from NJ to TX.

Just wanted to let ya'll know that we survived our first PUP weekend two weeks ago. Everything went well outside of the awning instructions (not covered in orientation) were ashes. lol A family camping across from us helped us get it up.

I also backed it in the 2 car garage..took me over 30 min, but it's in there.

Our next adventure will be at a local state park over the Thanksgiving weekend.

My kids and I are just loving our PUP and they have told anyone and everyone about it.

I signed up for the July Rally '08, so hopefully we'll get to meet some members.
