Thanks! We're between Burnet and Bertram if you're familiar with the area. It's a small world... we were in your neck of the woods (San Marcos) last week for a few days on the river with the youngest son and grandkid. We too are looking for a respite from the heat and are leaving Monday, Aug 28th for Chama, NM for a couple of days then on to Dolores, Co for several days or 'till we get bored. What are your travel plans?

Oh, you live near our current favorite state park - Inks Lake! And I basically grew up at Lake LBJ where my grandparents lived on the lake. Many fond memories of that area of TX.

We are leaving Thursday. The main places we will visit will be Colorado, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon. We will be on the road for 5 weeks. This is our BIG trip for the year. We go on long weekend jaunts closer to home several times a year. We want to try RVing fulltime for a year while we rent our home to give it a trial run. I feel like I could be on constant adventure, but that's from a viewpoint of having a permanent home. The test will reveal if that dream would be a reality we would want to live.

Looking forward to hearing about your adventures!
