Howdy from CO

Hello everyone 👋.

My name is Adam. Iím new to the world of RVs, Iíve yet to own one, but have been having a ball researching them and watching YouTube videos about them! -So much to learn! (good and bad).

My wife and I are hoping to purchase one sometime next year. -Need to get the horse before we can get a cart!

I look forward to learning even more relevant info here on this forum.

Welcome... Like you we decided to get into camping again this year, not having an RV. Found an amazing deal on a "like new" 04 travel trailer, but our vehicle was unsuitable for towing. Shortly after we discovered an older but suitable tow vehicle... 12 Tahoe for a smokin deal... So I guess we got the cart before the horse... With a few modifications and equipment, we are now enjoying new and amazing adventures! With just the two of us we didn't need anything too big or heavy, but wanted to be comfortable and safe. Motorhomes class C and A are fine, but entail more cost, repairs and maintenance... not in our budget. Trailers are available in many sizes and types to suit your needs, and when you get to your campsite you can unhitch and go on daytrips with your car/truck. I started with tents, tent trailers, travel trailers, then a class C... now it's travel trailers for us. I'm sure you have plenty of questions, so pick the brains of the experienced members here... lots of knowledge and information to consider... be smart, be safe, have fun!

Welcome to the forum.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good information to share. Read the various threads here and ask questions as they come up or add information if you can.

Good luck in your search and maybe rent a few different rigs for some weekend trips to see what works and what does not.

Good luck and the adventure!

Thanks everyone.

Iím really enjoying the research of different brands, models, and desirable features. The only ďRV campingĒ experience I have is in my Dadís old popup tent camper. During my teen years, weíd cram 5 men into it during hunting trips and in some very inclement weather! Other than that, itís always been tent camping ⛺️ for me.

Dad now owns a Davis Tent & Awning canvas wall tent that has served us pretty well in elk hunting camps for the past 2 years. Sure gets cold though!

Good tip to rent some different models to try out!

I look forward to learning more from seasoned RV owners!
