Talking Howdy Y’all

We are Michael (Mike) and Beverly (Bev) Womack. We are both retired now and existing off retirement annuities and investment dividends. We recently purchased a 2007 Monaco Camelot 40-PDQ. We have a 3-year plan.

My wife and I grew up in Oklahoma (myself, Texas and Oklahoma). Both of our parents traveled every chance they could. Her family used motels and relatives. I grew up “camping” (back before anyone had coined the words RV). Between us we have each visited every state West of the Mississippi River. Neither of us spent much time East of it.

So the three year plan is to spend one year on what we call The Southeast Conference tour. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas, Florida. One year dedicated to what we loosely call the New England Tour. Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine (with a little “over-the-border” action probably).

The final year will be The Rest Tour. Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, the Virginias. In addition we will pickup whatever we missed the first two years.

We will travel, primarily, between late March and early October. Probably out for 3-4 weeks at a time. Thinking we should be able to get 3-4 tours in per year.

We will be towing a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon UNL behind the Monaco.

After the 3rd year, if my health holds up, we can revisit sites across the nation.

Maybe we’ll see you out on the road.
