So as you know you have a house riding on Ford van.. go online order Ford van books.. if you are able.. you will have to do complete front end inspection.. most likely the steering box.. but other front end parts contributing.. or take to a shop..
Good luck and keep us posted

It could be the steering box, but there are also a number of rubber steering bushings in the front end linkage that could be shot due to dry rot and age also.

Ford Econoline/E-Series vans/chassis tend to "wander".

First, have all of the front suspension components inspected. Replace the shocks, front and rear, with the best money can buy (KYB or Koni).

Second, find an "old fashioned" alignment shop. The only real solution is to adjust the caster well outside of factory range. This will NOT affect tire wear. It may make parking maneuvers more difficult.

If it is not bad bushing or a alignment. The older ford steering boxes have a adjustment screw to tighten up the slack in the box. At one time I had a Ford van and that fixed my play in the steering wheel after having it aligned twice.
