I'm a new member. I joined to connect with other RV'ers about different RV problems and how to correct the problems. We have a 2007 Montana Keystone 5th wheel. 30.75', We are just now having problems with the electric landing gear. We went to raise the landing gear yesterday to hook up to the truck and we had raised it quite a bit and then the motor just died. We checked the fuse and it looked fine and replaced it with a new fuse. Still would not work. So we got out the manual crank handle to move it by hand and it would not work. Like the gear (or something) was sheared. So what we did was, we opened up the front door access and cranked the square bar that controls both left and right legs. And it moved just fine.Where should we start? We need help.

Welcome !
Something is amiss with the motor.
A) if something is sheared motor should still run.
B) the hand crank should have worked if you could turn the square bar by hand.

Sounds as if something in the gear reduction has jammed on the motor side and something sheared on the the crank side. ?
