I'm a newbee
We just purchased our first RV. Fleetwood Bounder 2007 38P. We live in port Charlotte, Florida. Can anyone recommend good user friendly trip planning software. Any tips on how to get safely started on this new adventure would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the new to you Bounder. I use a combination of programs when I plan a trip. First of all I use Mapquest.com to figure out how to get there. Then I double check that route with Good Sam Club's Trip Planner, it also shows a lot of the CG's and RV parks along the way. Then I go to Rvparkreview.com to research the campgrounds in the area where we plan to stop overnight or for an extended stay. I also go to the Flying J and Loves websites to plan my fuel stops along the route. Plus there are other websites to research the things to do when we get to our destination. so as you can see it takes a lot of different applications to get you there and back......Happy Trails...

we started out with small trips that kept us somewhat close to home 100 mile range.. this did two things for us. 1 our AAA plan has 100 mile free towing and 2 if we had a major disaster with the kids, or work " small business owner" or a rv problem. I could just leave it and get home in the toad. I have just now moved into the 200 mile range. stay off the senic routs they are full of haserads for your new toy. the interstate may take a little longer to get there but showing up 20 min earler without a AC unit is not worth it. just my 2 cents

Thanks
Thanks to all of you who answered my post. I found the coach batteries. They were under one of the entry steps as one of you suggested. The comments on how to get started taking some trips with our first rv were very helpful. What a friendly and welcoming web site.

Hello and congratulations on your Bounder and choosing this forum. The Good Sam club trip planner can do everything you are asking. Route your trip Find a cg and show where to get fuel. We also own a 2011 Bounder and love it. We are retired and time is not an issue. Enjoy your travels and be safe.
