Introducing myself
Hello Folks,
Just introducing myself. My name is Mobin (Moby ) Akhtar.
We had a 2016 Thor Citation Sprinter for a while and did not use it much. Upon discussing it with DW, we realized that it was a bit uncomfortable and too small for us to just "Hang out." Even with 4 manual jacks and an electric stabilizer that I installed, it would move when you walked around too much, driving us nuts. Our biggest complaint was the folded queen bed that could not be used while the bedroom slide was in.
On our last trip to the Hillcountry, TX, in November 2024, we stopped by the Holiday World of Katy on our way just to see what was available and spotted an already sold 2017 Thor Palazzo 36.1 class-A DP that had a floor plan we liked very much. I requested to see inside just to get an idea (we had seen a 33.1 before and did not love the floor plan), and while visiting the unit, the salesman got a call from his manager informing him that the sale had fallen through, so the unit will be available next week for sale.
We ended up trading ours in on the spot, but since this one was not ready to take away yet (servicing some items), and the park was booked already, we took ours for the last trip and, later that month, picked up the Palazzo.
Love the RV, but its a big adjustment in Parking and driving. Our first RV was a Coleman pull-up trailer, then a Winnebago View (Mercedes Sprinter based as well), then the Thor Citation Sprinter (2 slides). All are easy to manage. This one is a big learning curve for me. But we both love it! DW is excited to plan next trip!
