Hi Nubie,
Welcome to the Forum!
Take your time and read a lot of threads here. You can learn a lot!
Go to PPLmotorhomes.com and start looking at floorplans. Most people choose their rig on floorplans. They have great diagrams to check out and you can get an idea of what you want or need.
Make a list of your wants, needs, and think about how much storage you will need. What do you plan to take with you. Everything you take has a weight and that needs to be considered into your total weight when loaded including people and animals, food, clothes, tools.
YouTube has a lot of videos on RV's. Enter a subject and start watching, another great way to learn about emptying your tanks, cleaning out your furnace, water heater maintenance, your fridge. Anything really.
I understand your excitement because I was there 5+ years ago. Have had my rig now for 4 years this May. We bought used and are happy with our choice. Take your time.
Water leaks are a death sentence to rigs so make sure to steer clear of leaky roofs, warped sidewalls, and any mold you see inside cabinets, around vents, showers. There are plenty of good RV's out there but it takes time to find them.
Good luck and keep coming back here to learn. Lynne
