Hi, everyone! I've owned my 1986 Ford Shasta since 1999. It was a "gift" from my father ( who had passed away a few months before). Initially he probably would have turned over in his grave to find that I bought a MH instead of investing the proceeds of his life insurance. It took awhile, but I know that he is happy with my choice. Even though he never "camped" or even thought about it, he would approve.

I don't usually join many (only one other than this) forums, but I found that it took less than one half hour to see that there are a lot of caring people here and with all that is going on in the world, that means a lot!

Although my purpose at the moment is to find answers to my questions, I also hope to be able to contribute in areas where I might have some helpful opinions; either now or in the future.

Thanks in advance for your helpful advice! Teri

Thanks to all! I am pouring over the threads here and finding much good information. I am in the process of repairing, freshening up and generally updating my MH.

So far I've replaced the black waste valve, replaced a bathroom vent and attached a Max Air cover. In the process of ripping out the "floor" of the overhead camper, repainting the very faded stripes and removing old caulking on roof and resealing it. I have some photos, but it appears they are very large. Since I'm not that great at figuring out how to resize them, I don't know how to get them in here.

My refer. just died on me (horrible ammonia smell!) so I guess I'll be back to the old ice chest for a bit. Anyhoo, I will sure have some questions soon; I just figured I'd search around first and see if someone else has already asked and been answered.

Thumbs up Hello All

Hello All, Dave & Kathy Cramer here. We have been full-time since Oct 07. We currently own a 2007 Monaco Knight 40 PDQ. We have two cats Kitty & Casey 19-16 years respectively. Kathy and I are retired Chiefs from the Air Force. We sold our home in Ocala Fl in 2007 and decided to hit the road for 4-5 years. We are having a wonderful time seeing all this great country has to offer. We are heading to Alaska this summer traveling via North Dakota / Minnesota boarder. If you have traveled to Alaska via this route we would appreciate any information on places to visit or campgrounds along this route. We hope to see you at an upcoming rally. Happy & safe travels to you all.
