Introduction from the UK..
Hi everyone.
Am I glad to have found this forum!!
Having spent the last 2years in the med' first living on our 23 year old catamaran, then on land in Gozo (Malta) licking our wounds metaphorically after she was damaged beyond repair in a storm in March, we have decided to start the adventure again....... This time in a 'Land Yacht'
Visa issues are in the pipe line and planning has begun .. We don't like to make too many plans over and above those made prudent by red tape and common sense. But as always, knowledge is the key. So what little we have will be supplemented greatly by the wisdom to be found in this forum .
I'll post a few questions in the appropriate forums, so keep an eye out for the Brits with wanderlust both in the forums and next year hopefully on the road..
Cheers
Lou and Kim ( and honey the dog)

Welcome, Lou & Kim (and Honey the Dog)!
Good luck with sorting things quickly so your next life chapter can get underway. Any pics of Honey would be nice to see, too. :-)

Her ladyship
Here She is....
And people think getting visas and global travel is difficult for people.......
When you are working as butler and maid to a little dog things get even more complicated.

Welcome to the forum your next adventure should be exciting. Make sure you have the proper documents for Honey as well, some states get pretty picky about them.

Welcome from another Brit who has been living in the USA for 20 years. We also lived on our third catamaran for 6 years but in the Caribbean not the Med. Now travel the country in our motorhome when we can get away from the house. Plan on being South for the winter.

Welcome from another ex-pat Brit. We've lived in the US since 1968, all but three years in Washington State. We love it here, having moved from Everett to Anacortes when I retired from Boeing.
Beautiful scenery, like a combination of Scandinavian coastlines and Swiss Alps mountains. The climate is a lot like the UK, but just a tad warmer in winter. Daytime highs in summer rarely get to 80F and winter overnights are not much below freezing. Today is pretty typical early winter - blue sky and sunshine with a high headed into the low 50's. It's supposed to go back to 800' scattered, 1500' overcast, rain and fog tomorrow, probably for a week or so.
I hope you make it up to our corner in your travels.
