Irish in America saying hello

New member here, originally from Dublin Ireland. I remember as a kid we always had a travel trailer that we would load up and head of to various parks around the country, some of my fondest memories including trips by Ferry over to France mainly.

Anyway, 30 years on, and a 3year old daughter of our own - now living in New Jersey, we want to pick up a trailer to go exploring along the east coast. Look forward to getting some great advice from you guys!

First step - let's find a trailer!

WELCOME!!

Do you have a 'tow vehicle"?
Or are you looking to get that trailer AND Then get the tow vehicle?

1st Option.........need to match trailer to that tow vehicle
so if you have it already post up What It Is---Year/Brand/Model etc

2nd Option.....get the trailer you want and then MATCH the tow vehicle to it
Heavier/longer the trailer the bigger the tow vehicle

Happy hunting.............lots of trailers to investigate
And can get confusing

You/Wife/Child.........Bunk Bed models or just One bed and Sofa/Bed---Dinette Bed even sleeping bag on floor (air mattress)

Options are endless LOL!!!

Welcome...not only to IRV2 but the USA!

Welcome aboard Cooper Man ,

I couldn't help but notice not a hint of accent in your post .

Having been to Ireland just before the Great Plague , I often wondered how someone could drive a Motorhome or pull a Camping trailer on your narrow roads . We were driving a small rental car and there were times I didn't think it would clear the oncoming traffic. We would have loved to try one of Ireland's Caravan Parks , hopefully next trip.

You're coming from a beautiful part of the world , but you'll find we have alot to offer also .

I think you'll like our roads , even if we do drive on the wrong side of the road , and our campgrounds and parks.

If you get the chance , we'd love to hear about your exploits and experiences .

Happy Trails
