It just got real...
Escrow just closed on the house and the pup and I are moving into the new 'home is where its parked' --- been planning it for a year and now that the time has come, I have that 'now what?' feeling. Thanks to the many posts found here, my checklist of what-to-do what-to-decide if pretty comprehensive; but now I have to do it all!
The return trip from the point of delivery to not far from what has been home was great. The vehicle performs as expected and the company and help of a long time friend reminded me of road trips past. But with the coach that light and without the dog and the living part... it's clear that this was only the beginning. Next is a 300 mile shakedown trip with ma and the dog to a family wedding will be the next challenge.
The toad is almost ready and I want to have a few more miles with the bus solo in any case. Meantime, the dog and I are going to enjoy the holiday at the shore in Half Moon Bay... what's not to like!

When we went to San Jose for a conference we took a drive out to Half Moon and drove down to Pebble Beach !!!
Living in DFW area and seeing that - WOW !!!!!!!!!!!
just stunning to see rocks the size of football stadiums that rolled down into the pacific !!!
