I've lurked long enough...
... time to join in.
I'm Sharon, '61 vintage, self-employed in event design & decor...dh is Jeff, '62 vintage, firefighter/paramedic/ambulance/cpr instructor.
We have 5 camping Chihuahuas, who love it so much, that they know the different sound of the camper keys vs car keys. We lost our beloved "little old lady" Candy in September 2014. I hope to add her as my avatar soon.
Our camping journey has run over 20 years so far. We've gone through tents, 5th-no slide, 5th-slide, pop-up, tt, & now 5th-2 slides.
Our current combo was an unbelievable Craigslist deal. A widow was ready to sell out & relocate. There was a small area which had leaked & we were made aware of it & the small amount of damage. Considering that, she dropped the price of the camper/truck combo to an amazing $10,500 !!! We thoroughly checked the extent of the damage & were only in for about $500 in repair.
Due to dh's schedule, we can't camp as much as we'd like. But we go anytime we can squeeze two or more days and are on a less than 5 year countdown to his retirement. Most memorable trip so far was to Disney World in January.
I've enjoyed the forums so far and hope that I can contribute a bit of help too.
