Jerry and Linda in Arkansas

Just bought our first diesel pusher, and we're here for you guys to save us from ourselves! Seriously, we're grateful for any and all advice, and hope to save the missteps we are sure to make without a little help.

What kind of diesel pusher did you get? We love ours - smooth ride and sooo much fun. So far my husband has been able to do all small repairs so expense has been kept to a minimum. Good luck and happy travels.

Ditto! This is a great site and welcome to the site. We are also recent newbies. Bought our first DP not quite 2 months ago and joined this site shortly before. Have gotten tons of helpful and money-saving advice. So glad we found this site!

Thanks for your reply. We bought a 2001 Monaco 40 LE coach from a couple in College Station, TX. This is our second MH with the first being a Class C Winnie 26' that we absolutely ran the wheels off in our younger days. Linda and I were whitewater paddlers in our younger days, and we still love to paddle today, but canoe streams and Class 1 and 2 rapids are plenty for us. Linda is retired from the USPS and I am a partner in a business which requires little time, and can be managed remotely.

Our oldest grandson is 13, and we follow his USSSA traveling baseball team around the country for 90 to 100 games during the spring and summer, so we are on the road every weekend between now and the end of July.

Most of our running, at least until fall/winter this year, will be weekend baseball tournaments out to about 600 miles from South Arkansas. So, we're learning on the fly. We look forward to meeting many of you nice folks on the way, and we are really hungry for advice about the do's and don't you guys have experienced.

Thanks again for your note, and we look forward to talking with you.

Thanks for posting to us, and we understand the "shock" of buying one of these things. However, it's indulgence for us, so it has to be right. We look forward to learning from all you guys.
