Just joined today. Have viewed the site a number of times in the past few months. We retired Dec.1 and hit the road for 3 months the day after Christmas. Went south to AZ, NM, TX, LA, AL, MS then headed home to Minnesota for a month....leaving for Alaska May 1 for 4 months. Looking for any info on boondocking along the way in Alberta, B.C., and Yukon. Thanks for any help!

We may see you there! We leave around June 1 and return around Sept. 23 for our Alaska trip from Texas. Do you have the recent copy of "The Milepost"? Tons of driving/camping info.

Barry, As mentioned if you don't have a copy of the milepost get one. It has all the information you will need for your trip. My last trip to Alaska was 5 years ago all I can say is take plenty of pictures and enjoy yourselves. A trip of a lifetime. This was my second time in Alaska and by no means my last. Safe travels

Bruce; Thanks! I have the Milepost...wouldn't be without it. Went up there in 2008, and we loved it, so going again in a few weeks. We'll be there for the summer, hosting at a school in Soldotna, and hope to "snag" a few salmon too. Happy travels!!

Hello Barry and Tammy! Welcome to IRV2 and congrats on your retirement. I had always wanted to find out what retirement felt like and it is great! Alaska is one of the trips I want to make in the next few years. Have fun and safe travels.
