Just joined iRV

Hello all. Found your website doing research for my next Class A purchase. Formerly owned a 2000 Dutch Star and the wife enjoyed going places without having to stop every two hours for a restroom break.

Initially looked at smaller offerings from Coachman, Thor, Forest River, Fleetwood and Nexus but the many complaints on several RV forums has me concerned about QC issues. The purchase price of the smaller units is attractive but I don't want to be saddled with an 80 to 100K headache. Spending a bit more money brings us into the Newmar Bay Star or Thor Miramar coaches. They too have their issues but I'm thinking they will be fewer and have better mfr support. We live pretty far out in the country so driving 2 to 3 hours for service and warranty issues is not something I want to do on a regular basis.

Thanks for a great forum.

Took the Newmar plunge

Well, we did it. We picked out a 2019 BayStay 3124 at NIRV in Lewsiville, TX. We toured their huge facility, test drove the coach and now we're trying to figure out when we can arrange to go back and take delivery. Salesperson Lindsay Bass took great care of us and I would recommend her highly. The journey begins.
