Having a slow night tonight, so I did a google for RV forums and found you guys. While I am not really new to RV'ing, Im not what you would call a "seasoned" RV'er. My first experience (almost my last...lol) was a disaster due to my lack of knowledge of Class A motor homes. The roof was shot and I had no idea how to fix it or the other numerous problems. So after 2 or 3 months of ownership, I sold it at a severe loss! But the one time we did use it for a long weekend was so much fun, that I decided to try it again. This time with a 28' bumper pull toy hauler. We have motorcycles so this was a lot of fun and we got a lot of use out of it for about 4 years. But I started to get the I wants for another Class A so we sold the toy hauler. We (and when I say "we" I mean my girl friend and I) have been looking for about 2 months for the right one. Unfortunately, price was our #1 goal. After looking mostly on Ebay and Craigslist all I could find in my price range were late 80's RV's and most all had serious past or present leak issues. Then I discovered RV trader and low and behold, I found a lightly used Class A right here in my own back yard in Memphis. Just about 50 miles from me. It was at an RV dealer called Davis motor homes. Nice folks and I got a super deal on a 1997 Winnebago 34' Adventurer with only 47k on her.
Everything seems to be in great working order, the roof is solid with no leaks, and it is a pleasure to drive. Even has an updated 32" flat screen tv where the old forward mounted one was.
Sorry for the long winded introduction. Looking forward to sharing our new adventure in our Aventurer with you all.
Daniel.
