Just put a deposit on our first RV

We are purchasing a 2000 Newmar Mountain Aire, class A, gas. We pick it up next week.
We are planning on "full-timing" it. We got an offer on our house that we could not refuse. 4 days before our scheduled move out date our other housing fell through. Hubby and I have always wanted a rv and we have a place to park, so we figured why not.
We are bringing 3 children on this adventure, who are 13, 10 and 7.
We plan on doing a few weekend trips here in Florida, before we go on our big trip to Minnesota in July/August.
I have so many questions, I am so glad I found this site. When my hubby saw that I was browsing this site, he asked if I found out how to drive the rv yet! Hmm, is there a forum for that?
Off to browse some more!

If you google RV DRIVERS CONFIDENCE COURSE you can watch educational tapes on driving motorhomes.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the purchase. We also have a Newmar gas Class A product and can't say enough good about it. Good luck and hope you enjoy your travels.

Welcome, congratulations on selling the house and getting a motorhome. We are in similar circumstances. Bought the motorhome first then selling the house is different but bring the teenage son is similar. We will be homeschooling on the road. Good luck with your adventure. Keep us Posted.

See greezykids post. These are great ed videos. You might also consider going to Lazy Days in Tampa and take the actual course. It is definitely worth the trip.
