Just retired heading out from So CA to ?
Don't know where to start on new adventure! Leaving this late in the year and need to be home before bad weather hits. Any suggestions?

Close your eyes and point to a location on map! You are retired, the direction does not much matter, just your speed, SLOW. Take your time. In winter head south in summer head north.

Welcome to the forum!
Maybe Vegas, Flagstaff or Albuquerque. Just make sure you're in the SW when you return home and you needn't worry about the weather.
