Just starting out - looking at options
We rented a Class C two years ago and loved the experience, decided to take the plunge before kids get too old. Any and all advice welcome - so far all the forums we've peeked out have been very helpful. We are trying to decide between new and used, large Class C or small Class A. We like the bunkhouse floor plans for our two boys. We will have two chocolate labs with us too.

It's also great that you're taking the plunge while the kids are young enough to still enjoy the experience. We didn't do that, although I tent camped with the boys. Wish we had gotten the RV bug sooner......... Enjoy the forum!

My advice is to lean towards getting a class A. More storage capacity, and more carrying capacity just to name a couple reasons. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Welcome to iRV2.
A small class A will have more cargo carrying capacity and storage space than a large class C.
Buying a 2 to 5 year old gently used higher end unit will be much better than a new entry level unit. The depreciation on a new unit is really heavy.
Have fun shopping. Also, anything the dealer promises, make sure it is written down in the contract. They seem to forget the little promises. When you go to pick up the unit, do not accept it or sign anything until the unit is properly demonstrated and you are 100% satisfied. Once they have the money, they tend to forget you exist'

Well we took the plunge! Put a deposit down on a 2014 Palazzo 33.3 Bunkhouse. Got a great price at MHSRV in Alvarado, TX. I really appreciate the incredible amount of knowledge shared on this forum.
We are going to hold off picking up the coach until late February as it is already winterized and don't want to have to it again before our first real trip for spring break.
Will post pictures of the rig in the New Rig Show Off forum when we get it.
Again, thanks to all for the advice and opinions. We kept coming back to "get the floor plan the DW likes". We tried a Hurricante 34J and loved the plan but hated the noise when driving. We plan on driving through the western states a lot and the combination of the diesel and air suspension and breaks just made sense to us.

Congratulations ! You may want to post under the "Owners Forums" in the THOR Industries section. There are numerous Palazzo threads and days of reading. The Palazzo owners are a great group and are very helpful.
