Hello all. My name's Nicole and my husband is Chaz. We're new to all of this, just purchased our first camper. 2000 Fleetwood prowler. We live right south of Kansas City Missouri, and this friday headed to Trinidad Colorado! We purchased 40 acres, but the first month going to stay in an RV park. We are going off grid! We have our solar system ready to set up, and going to dig a septic and well(those will be next spring!) Anyhow we're both very excited for this Adventure as are our kiddos! Still learning what we need and ect. We're going to pull the camper with the budget truck (I have an expedition Eddie Bauer edition 5.4, he has a lifted Dodge ram 1500) so his truck will pull it but it drags the rear end down quit a bit! Do you think it's better to pull the camper with the budget truck?

Welcome. You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share
We made a similar move many moons ago from KCMO to the Denver area.
You might want to check with Budget if they will allow you to tow the TT. A good chance they will not. And is sounds like too much trailer for your husbands truck. Check the hitch AND the tow rating on the truck before you attempt it. Also make sure you have hooked the trailer up with brakes and lights.
Good luck and enjoy the adventure.
