Hello all,
After several attempt at a trip to our daughters and new grandsons home on the east coast the wife and I have purchased a new /old motorhome....after several fails with gas rigs we finally found an older executive 40 footer with a Catepilar 3207t Deisel mated with a 4sp Allison tranny....after over a year of living in her and working to make sure she's dependable and most of all SAFE...we made our way east towards Louisiana from Texas...with just 83,000 miles on her she performed GREAT...with zero issues an zero breakdowns while we took a left in Florida and headed up the coast northbound towards New York....at just 7 miles a gallon she performed very well while towing a 5500 lb SUV...stupid ugly vehicle i call our shed....well after 8 days of driving and stopping always by 5pm ...we arrive at our destination 1800 miles away from Texas... safe and sound....average speed of 60 mph....looking forward to 3 months in the cool weather....
