Learning to live full-time in Canada

Hey - I'm sucking up as much info as I can before I buy an RV to live in full-time in Canada. I'll be based in Prince George, BC but plan on following the weather in Canada when necessary. I'm in Quebec right now and preparing to move west in the spring. Need to learn techie and mechanical stuff, how to renovate (e.g. add a small wood stove, add kitchen counter space - why so little counter space?), and the best internet set up for mobility.

Looking to buy an older model that has decent insulation once I move out west - probably 27' bumper pull (don't want a 5th wheel).

I'm about to buy a sweet 2009 Ford F150 for me an my doggie to begin our new life.

Looking to connect with folks who know about cold-weather RV living as well as other clean-living folks who like peace and quiet.

Cheers,

Jennifer

You might want to check out this brand of trailer…..seems better built to handle cold than most.

Greetings and welcome, Jen!

Are you a Canadian citizen or have a visa / work permits approved? If 'no' to both you'll need to deal with that situation, first. Don't just show up at the border expecting to full-time. Canadians tend to be polite and accommodating but *do* enforce its work and immigration laws.

Here's hoping you find the RV of your dreams, and safe travels to you and your pup.
