I'm a native Long Islander (sort of) I grew up in Queens (technically part of Long Island if you look on a map) Went to college at S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook. Got a job down the road from Stony Brook. Lived in Nassau County (Valley Stream) for a while, then moved out to Suffolk County. I've lived out in Suffolk almost 40 years. We camp at Indian Island, Smith's Point, Cupsogue Beach, and our favorite is Hither Hills State Park in Montauk.

Welcome to IRV2. We are from Nassau (Oceanside). When we stay local we camp at Smiths Point, Indian Island, Greenport and Nickersons Beach.

Haven't been to Hither Hills in years. We do go to Long Island several times a year. Daughter in Islip and Friends in Smithtown. Oh yeah....you're considered a long islander, at least in my book. safe trips and maybe see you on the road.
