Long time member, first time posting, East TN

Well, after over 8 years as a member I have decided to finally introduce myself. After growing up camping in tents, I hadn't been camping in 10+ years when I talked my wife into giving it a shot. Except she wanted nothing to do with a tent or even a popup. So we rented a travel trailer and took our 2 little boys to Ft Wilderness. She was hooked and next thing you know we are buying a brand new 2006 Rockwood TT. Fast forward a few years and we later moved up to a 5th wheel and then a 5th wheel toy hauler. Then after all 3 of our boys were out of high school, and no longer wanted to camp with us, we bought our first drivable. A 2008 Four Winds Windsport 32R. This is where I should have started posting as we did some pretty major remodels of this coach including a paint job that I did myself. Maybe I will post some of the timeline pics of that at some point. Anyway, after having the gasser for a couple years I got itchy to move up to a DP. I have been reading this forum long enough that I knew what I was looking for and narrowed it down to a Newmar or Tiffin. To be in the price range that we wanted to spend, we found a 2005 Newmar Kountry Star 3720 for what I think was a pretty good deal. It was a 2 owner that the 2nd retired couple decided after a year that this was not the life for them. I will post more about it in the Newmar specific group. I have learned a ton from this forum over the years so I figured it was time to post some of my experiences as well. Stay tuned...
