Lurker turned poster

Been reading this forum off and on for a few months and only recently started posting so I figured I better make an introduction post.

Six years ago my wife(then girlfriend) and I bought our first RV. We were complete novices and had no idea what we were getting into. We bought a 1997 Fleetwood Southwind 32v and spent many weekends camping and several family vacations and had many ups and downs with this coach, its definitely been a learning experience.

about 2 years ago it was severely damaged by a storm while it was in storage and we were never notified.By the time we found out about it ,the needed repairs were extensive enough to make us question if we were going to keep it or just take the loss and unload it.

Well we decided to keep it and I've been in the process of slowly rehabbing it. if all goes as planned we will be taking our fist RV trip in 2 years in may.

Hopefully I havent bored anyone to death with my rambling and I hope to share more of my experiences in the future

Mike

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I'm finding this place to be a great resource for information. I've been wanting to respond to this for a while but all the bad weather we've been has been keeping me busy. I'm also over due for posting a pic of our rig.
