Man are we having fun!
just wanted to say hi. and check in with everyone. We've been reading this forum for about three weeks now. But our first new to us class a. Going full time in the winter, somebody check my sanity! This is our third night in, and it got down to 4° first day, I did not notice the slide topper bracket got caught in the slide and when the snow melted. It poured in behind the driver's seat. second night the house batteries went dead and had to run the engine for a few hours. Somehow sucking exhaust into the coach. after research found that the converter was wired improperly to the batteries and would shut down, but didn't figure it out until after I bought a new converter, which is on its way. Wake up the next day to find no water in the kitchen, and only cold water in the bathroom. wet bay heater quit. Installed space heater in wet bay and hairdryer under shower. After six hours all is well. ARE WE HAVING FUN YET? LOL our next step is to get rid of all that junk that we thought we could bring. Sorry for the novel, but we will be posting questions and comments as we go.

All the joys of a new coach and the first days of being a RV'er. At 4 degrees outside, my best suggestion is head south. Hope you have better days.

4 degF is not fun in any RV. My advice is move south until the weather is no longer freezing.

Welcome to IRV2. Sorry about your maiden voyage, it not a very good way to get into a new lifestyle. When you get thawed out please feel free to post your questions here on the different forums. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people here to help...

Welcome, just think of all the problems you've gotten behind you now, only a few 1000 more to go. lol
Just from reading your post you sound like your handling the problems well. You for sure are a true RVer! Don't forget to look over the forum, there are many places to post different type questions to get specific answers. Let me suggest you place your coach name and model in your signature now so that as you ask questions you don't have to keep posting that info! Check out the Just Conversation section there are several great threads of craziness and all have one thing in common, they are people much like you, dreams of RVing.

The stories that get created on the maiden voyage. Hmmm, not much fun in the making but lots of fun to recall in the years to follow... Ours was in the Texas summer rather than the Northern winter... don't know which is worse... well, yes I do, the winter for sure, especially 4 degrees my gosh... I guess that's why we live in Texas... The only place you'll find 4 degrees here is in your freezer!! Hey, good luck going forward, sounds like it can only get better! And even with it's small problems now and again, you're living the life... the RV life!
