Missionaries looking forward to RVing
Hello Everyone,
My name is LaShawn (36). My husband (35), 2 sons (10 & 12 yrs. old) and I are newbies to RVing. We are so new that we have yet to purchase our RV.
My husband (Marc) has been researching since April 2015. We have gone to many dealers and hubby has test driven about 5 different RV's over the course of the last 5 months. Now we are ready to purchase...just one HUGE problem... we are missionaries therefore we have no documented "work" income for financing. Can someone please offer some suggestions? Anyone looking to sell there motorhome? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Our price range is up to $80,000. We are in need of a clean, used, reliable, class A (preferably diesel), but willing to start with a gas coach. We need separate sleeping for the boys, either bunks or pullout and cab-over bed. We will be full timing for mission purposes.
Thank you for your time

Since rvs can range between $3000 and $3Million it would be helpful to give some more details of your price range and expectations of what kind of RV you'd be interested in. Are you planning to live full time in it? Will you be using it for your mission work?

Well, off the top of my head, I'd recommend a Bounder gas bunkhouse type RV or equivalent. If you're husband has been researching rvs he's probably read about several different models/brands. As far as financing goes, not sure I can help you there. Maybe put a business plan together and try to work with whoever sponsors your missions. I'm assuming you'd be US based?

Check with churches that sponsor you to see if there are any RV sales people or business owners that attend there and maybe talk with them to get ideas about how to go about financing in your situation. YOu might be able to find a used RV that meets your requirements also through them.

I am self-employed. Have received many loans for Real-Estate. Your income tax forms are all you need to document your income.

Thank you, unfortunately it's a little different for missionaries just starting out. Today, we just found a lender for missionaries! We are going to look into it. Thank you for all the help and advice.
