You would think I would go that route but the girl has to sleep with someone in the room, even though I will be really close to her it's not the same. Haha. Plus if someone doesn't sleep in her room with her she will get up in the middle of the night and stare at you.. Which freaks me out.:( so I'm thinking twin beds in the back for her and brother. I'll take the couch with the 3 itty bitty dods..

We lived in Ebisu but I traveled out to visit a Japanese company (IHI) in Akishima which is near Fussa. My DW would travel out to the AFB at Fussa to go to the BX and Commissary when she wanted something she couldn’t find in the Japanese market (I’m retired military). By the way, we will be wintering in Texas west of Austin.

Howdy and welcome to IRV2.

Since your husband is retiring from the military (?) be sure to check out the FAM Camps on the military bases. You can save a lot of money and security is good.

U.S. Military Campgrounds and RV Parks

Check out PPL Motor Homes if you are looking to purchase a used motor home. They take in a lot of consignments and seem to have good prices. They have two locations in Texas.

Used RVs, Motorhomes for Sale, and Consigned sales - PPL Motor Homes

Also check the for sale lots and the credit unions on the military bases and you will find some good deals.

Good Luck,
Jon

I was looking into a few at ppl motorhomes actually. I didn't think about the base credit union tho. Will have to check them out for sure.

I have looked at the military camps but some have a 2 week stay only and I think I need to be a little more confident on the ins and out of rv life before I venture in their camps cuz 2 weeks isn't enough time for me to distress after the initial set up.

I'm still waiting for the statute of limitations to run out before telling some of my stories.

Some of the FAM Camps do have the 2 week stay only rule but if they do not have a waiting list they will work with you to let you stay longer. Here at Robins AFB, GA you can rent for a month at a time.

Good Luck,
Jon
