Moving up in AK
We spent many years with old pickup campers I had bought cheap and fixed up, and then pulled a 2000 Cardinal for 13 years and close to 50,000 miles. After going coast to coast and enjoying a 28 day caravan down into Mexico back in 2006, the Cardinal wasn't getting much use and was showing the affects of 5 trips over the Alaska Highway, so we sold it and are now purchasing a 2004 Winnebago Journey "Pusher" located down in AZ. I'll be driving it up to our son's area in Portland, OR next week, storing it for the winter, and then we'll drive it up the "Highway" to AK in late spring. I work part time in the summers driving tourists around in 45 ft motor coaches, so driving the Journey will be natural for me - we're looking forward to getting back into RV-ing!
